KAMI  BUSHI  KAI  FOCUS JULY 2009       JULY TESTING Please check the test list on the bulletin boards to see if you’re testing this month. If you are, you will test at the following times: Little Dragons – will test during their class on Tuesday & Wednesday, 07/21/09 & 07/22/09. Children-- White belt thru Yellow belt with 1 blue stripe, Saturday, 07/11/09, 3:00 p.m. Children— Yellow belt with 2 blue stripes and above, Saturday, 07/11/09, 4:00 p.m. Adults & Teens all ranks – Saturday, 06/25/09, 3:00 p.m. Test times are based on your CURRENT rank, not what you are testing for. Requirements and reading material needed to achieve your Black Belt: ·                                               Three tournaments and three seminars ·                                               Children : The book “Karate-Do” ·                                               Teens & Adults: The books “Karate-Do”, “Art of War” and “Book of Five Rings” Please remember Seminars & Tournaments are a yearly event.  So it’s best to get the required ones behind you as soon as possible and very beneficial to do more than minimum requirements. Please Note: You can be taken off the test list AFTER it is posted if you do not have enough attendance OR if the Sensei’s do not think you are ready. As a Martial Arts student you are introduced to many things such as commitment, honor, determination and perseverance along with having the proper attitude and giving 100% in every class. There are many things that are considered before being chosen so if you are “THE CHOSEN ONE” it is definitely an honor and you should be very proud! Congratulations!!!   SPECIAL ITEM OF THE MONTH The special item of the month for July is the Century Forearm Kicking Shield.  Shield regulary sells for $39.99 but for this month of July will be on sale for $30.00.                  CHILDREN BEGINNER CLASS Starting Monday, June 1st we will be having a Monday & Wedensday Children Beginner class at 1:00pm.    KARATE DAY CAMP On Monday, July 27th through Friday, July 31st (1 week) we will be having a Karate Day Camp.  This will be for students ages 5 - 11.  The cost will be $125.00.  We will provide lunch & snacks.  We will have martial arts classes, games, movies & weapon training.  Please sign-up on the proshop counter if you are sure you can attend.  We will need at least 15 sign-up to have the camp.   REFERRAL CONTEST During the month of June, July & August we will be having a referral contest.  Every time you refer someone & they enroll on a regular program you will receive a $75.00 gift certificate to the mall.  The 2nd place person will receive a $50.00 gift certificate & the 3rd place will receive a $25.00 gift certificate.   SIBLING SPECIAL During the month of June & July we will be running a sibling Special.  It includes 2 private lessons, uniform & 8 weeks of group classes for $89.00.  Please see someone at the front desk to schedule rhe first appointment.   ANNUAL U.B.F. SEMINAR Our Annual UBF Karate Camp will be held in Chattanooga on July 17 - 19.  This is for students 4 & up.  Please make sure to order everything you'll need plenty of time for the seminar.  More information is on the proshop counter and Special Events .   BIRTHDAYS FOR THE MONTH The staff here at Baize Martial Arts would like to wish the following Happy Birthday! CLOSINGS The dojo will be closed for classes on Saturday, July 4th for Independance Day.  We will also be closed on Friday, July 17th and Saturday, July 18th for our Annual UBF Seminar.
